Right, er I'm planning on doing my house up a bit and have decided to try to link up my stereo and my tv to my PC.
I was wondering what sort of wiring would I need or could I do it with this wireless network thingy.
Sorry for being a bit vague. I'm a bit clueless when it comes to this sort of thing. |

Easiest way to connect your pc to tv is via s-video. You can probably pick up a graphics card with s-video output for next to nothing, then you plug the s-video into your tv.
If you don't have s-video in on your tv then just use a scart adapter or phono adapters. You can do the whole setup with graphics card for about £20-£25 |

Standard audio leads (3.5mm or phono) only transmit analogue mono/stereo sound.
If you have an amp with 5.1 speaker setup, and you want the Dolby Digital or DTS soundtrack of dvd's played on your PC to be transferred to the amp, you'll need a sound-card (or motherboard with on board audio) with a digital out. This can be in the form of an optical or S/PDIF connection.
A digital connection will also improve the audio quality of stereo sound such as MP3's CD's ect...
