I’ve been using paintshop pro for awhile, I keep hearing photoshop is better.

Can I download it?

Photoshop is made by Adobe. Try their website. They might have a trial.

You could download a "dodgy" full version from your usual source, although that does seem to be here.

Paintshop pro is a pile of cack. I can't do hardly anything on it that I can in Photoshop.

Ahh, flashfxp. I love that program. Don't know enough warez ftp sites though to use it much.

Im not really a all out graphic's man when it comes to computing but I like to use Macromedia's Fireworks. It's a whole lot better than Paint Shop Pro and in my opinion a lot easier to use than photoshop. Maybe you should try it out. You can get a free trial from their website.

I'll second that. I use Photoshop on a regular basis and find the way PSP works very annoying. I can get a similar result with both applications, but PSP takes 5 times as long. The only good thing about PSP is that the trial version is not time restricted. It has an "evaluation period", and you just set the clock back when you need to use it after it's expired.

BTW Does anybody know if CS2 starts faster than CS. I've recently upgraded to Acrobat 7 Pro at work which has a speed loader (no more waiting 10 minutes for a PDF to open). Does CS2 feature something similar?
Granted these speed loaders consume system resources, but when you use a program many times in the cause of a working day, it's worth the drain on resources.

PC I work on is an AMD XP2000+ with 768mb of ram. CS runs noticably quicker than CS2.

CS2 has a tendencey to just freeze for a few seconds half way through doing something. It does load slightly faster though.

Not sure how well CS2 would run on a better PC but IMO, stick with CS. Thumbs Up
