Crash bungs for a zx6r J2

if they are anything like my ZX-7R (R&G) you will have to drill a hole into each fairing, then take out a engine mounting bolt on each side, and replace it with the stud that comes with the bung kit then put the bung on that, its pretty straight forward, i would highly recommend R&G and there are instructions on there website, there is also account of my 100+ mph off on there website which is down umtil tommo!

Was worth it in the end though as the hole was cut on a curved bit of fairing, and he didn't drill it but cut it to the right shape. He did a much better job than I could have done.

Yes the coolant bottle does need replacing on the ZX6R J2.

Fitting instructions for the crash bungs can be seen here.

Paying a shop to fit them is unnecessary IMO. You drill a correct size hole where a tipex mark is and you've then done the tricky bit. It's not complicated and even if you were to make a bit of a mess drilling the fairing it's not a problem as it'll be behind the crash bung so no one can see it.

Stop being wimps, go and take a drill to your fairings Razz

Yup as everyone else has said you need to drill it, i did on mine, piece of piss, also with the R&G you get a new coolant bottle, send the old one back and they give you some money. Thumbs Up
