At 6.30 this morning, I scraped the ice off my seat and mirrors, the snow off the brakes and set off for work.

The coldest and most painful ride I have ever experienced. Lovely views though! Laughing

The KLE coped surprisingly well in sub zero temps!

You should just leave it in the doorway to your halls. Screw people trying to get in and out Laughing

Snap, 3 inch's yesterday and freezing fog today, great riding weather for REAL bikers Wink Laughing

The only thing that bugs me is my finger tips, other than that I'm fine just need plenty of layers on and watch out at night as I got aweful carb icing on mine last night. I had to stop every 10 minutes just to let them thaw out again otherwise it missed like a bitch, but then it was -7C Shocked It's been fine today.

Corners will be a doddle in the summer Wink

Keep up the good work, we need to convert all these sunshine boys Mr. Green

The solution to that problem is to wear three pairs of gloves. Inners, normal bike gloves, and 'arctic weather condition' overmittens from the army surplus store Thumbs Up. Yeah you can't get at the switchgear quite so easily, but better to be obstructed by extra gloves than by your fingers being too cold to move.

Cheers, I'll take a look around tomorrow.

I've got thermal inners and the bike gloves which are OK, if a little tight with both sets on, they'll last for about 20 minutes riding in this weather but then my finger tips go solid & numb.

I did think about handlebar mits for about 5 seconds, but they look pants so next thought was some heated gloves, trouble is £££££. So some thick overgloves may be the answer

Mike Thumbs Up

Got your's somewhat later than we did here. It's been nice, dry and sunny for the past day or two. Still the remnants of the snow from earlier in the week in shaded areas but apart from that it's been a good day to ridejust as long as you wrap up. Laughing

Enough of this hot weather talk, it's not fair!

We'd be lucky to see a few days that touch 23 degrees here in the summer Evil or Very Mad

I had a fun ride home last night! Still managed to filter through the traffic, wasn't that bad actually. Got the 5 miles home then dropped the bike parking it in my bike yard when the rear wheel slipped as i rode up the pavement Embarassed no damage though thanks to the snow and R&G's and even the bung only has one tiny scratch Smile still felt a bit of a numpty though!
