Have had a laptop and pc connected to a router for months and has worked fine.
but then i added a new pc today, since then all out internet is going slow, even when newly added pc is off. could something be clashing.

I very much doubt anything is clashing, if all the computers are connecting to the network and are getting IP's from the router then everything should be OK.

Is it a wireless router or Wired?

Is the "new" pc brand new?

If not well worth making sure there is no malware on the machine that'd be consuming your bandwidth.

Also if you can see who's connected to the router, make sure that a neighbour isn't leeching off your wifi connection.
