Just booked a weekend pass for the superbikes with a few mates at brands in 3 weeks. Intention of going down friday night, staying in a hotel the weekend and watching the racing. Apparently we can camp there Embarassed

Firstly how do i put up a tent in the dark? Laughing What happens when you set up a tent there. Do you leave it while you watch the racing or do you pack it up again.

Also how does the racing work. Sunday is the actual race but whats on saturday? (Never been before)

I can see a big fire and a couple of crates going down well. Smile

Leave the tent up, mark it so you know what's yours. Practice putting it up at yours before you go, will make it easier come the night. And take an extra jumper or two to wear whilst sleeping as you'll get cold, and perhaps some jogging bottoms for the same reason.

Leave most stuff in there but keep your valuables on you.

Saturday is a little practice and qualifying.

If you can put a padlock on the zips its probably the most you can do.

Wtf. Whilst facing away, pull your pants down, bend over and let the sun naturally shining out of your arse floodlight the pitching area.

Rolling Eyes Use your headlights, or even a torch Idea

Imo padlocking the zips is a bad idea as lets people think you're actually stupid enough to leave something in there worth nicking, queue knifed tent.

When we get there it will be dark, i don't think i've ever been in a tent properly, the one my friend is taking has got like bedrooms or something.

Going to be a challenging night, may need to practice before hand. Laughing

You're in for a treat putting it up then... especially if it's raining and windy too! Laughing Drink loads of lager while you're doing it, and it'll all seem fine (until the morning, when you wake up with the tent wrapped around you!).

The secret of putting a tent up sucessfully in the dark is being drunk - really drunk.
You probably won't get it up properly, but you really won't care because you will fall asleep anywhere. Before you know it, it will be light and you will be able to put it up fine Cool
