The NS125 was officially imported.

If you do get it, there's a Haynes Manual available for it.
Search for 'NS125R', lots of stuff around for it; it's sometimes mis stated as 'NSR125' - it is not this, which is the later model.

Hi Steve, howya doing?

Quick Q though?... How exactly do you get slammed into the back of a car? Did someone run into the back of you?

Bike looks in fair condition, must be a good 15 years old is it?

Ah, so it was your fault then. Following too close to the car in front. Thats the mystery cleared up. Thumbs Up Very Happy

As for restiction, ASFAIK all bikes are built "derestricted" as you put it but they may have to be restricted due to peoples licence requirements. And the only way to be sure is to physically check the engine. But someone with knowledge on these bikes can tell you where to look.

For 33hp, yes, but for learner legal 125s we are talking 12hp when the bike was first made.
The bikes were often restricted at the factory; we weren't the only market to have restricted exhausts.

The main restriction on the NS125 was a washer in the exhaust I believe.

NS125 R-K? whats the K

The "K" basically means that it is a faired bike I think.

As G said, you have an "NS125", the NSR125RK is a later model (see my bike pics) and the same model bike without the fairing was an NSR125RL (?)

No, if there is an F, it means it is the unfaired model.

There is a NS125F and an NSR125F.
You can have a NSR125F-K; my bike was a NSR125F-M.

For the NSR the last letter signifies the model year. I'm not sure for the NS125, as there seem to be a lot of NS125R-Ks around, whether this is due to misconception or because they didn't make any changes so didn't change the letter or for other reasons, I don't know.

Yes its definitely an NS125R. I used to have the same model in Red.

The fairing looks right.

Probably worth around £700.

Hi,

NS125R is a nice bike. My other half had this one for a while, but I used it more than she did. It was good fun to ride. Pretty easy to work on too. Thumbs Up

We bought it for £900, used it for a few years, then sold it for £700. That was a couple of years ago now, probably still worth the same!

I have my eye on a Honda NS125 R-K altho finding info mation on this bike seems to be a no no.Can any one tell me is this an import or why i cant find any pics infomation on the bike

Hi, welcome to the forum.

Why a 125cc? At 23 insurance can't be that bad for a 250/400cc and they should be much more fun. Or do you need to do your test (if so, spend you money doing DAS instead)?
