You go onto what ever torrent site you normally use and search for the single track your after, by either searching for the artist, the track or both. If the site doesn't have it then try another.

The track will only exist though if someone has been arsed to make one track available though Thumbs Up

Thats precisely my problem. The only music available is the popular stuff. With 'old' p2p you where searching millions of HDD's for content, with torrents you can only take whats on offer.

I'll just have to do without, there's no way I'm putting limewire / kazza on my machine after seeing what it's done to other peoples PCs.

Just set whole albums off to download and then choose which tracks are downloaded.

Thats what I have to do, but there's a couple of problems with that.
say you want a 6 year old song that made #24 in the carts you might as well forget it. Also, downloading whole albums for one song is a waste of usage, especially with my ISP's 'fair use policy' Mad which I'm stuck with untill may.

Yeah but at a guess I'd say 95% of torrent downloaders have never made and distributed a torrent file.

I agree that most things can be found on torrents, but the other day my nan asked if I could download some music to replace her old tapes... I couldn't find any of her music in torrent form and had to admit defeat.

I'd agree with that. You could always scour ebay and the net and see if you can pick them up on the cheap on CD format Question
