New car Tax

Just listening to the chancellor.


Lowest polluting cars will have NO TAX.
Going up to £210 tax for the highest polluting new cars. (estimated 1% or cars on the road).


seems like a good idea to me.
No tax for sensible cars & you can still have your gas guzzler if you want to pay for it.

well for companies anyway cars that did under 120g C02 / km

were 100% FYA so in essense buy a car for your company and you can claim back the entire cost = free car off the profits chargable to corp tax.

Though this means you can only get the smallest cars like picantos

devil is in the detail though so I wonder what the g/C02/km will be
this year..
