I’m having a couple of friends around for dinner tonight, I was thinking maybe I could do an American diner style thing, like hotdogs, cola, that sort of thing.

Anyone got some ideas to make it more authentic?

You could get everyone to stuff their clothes with pillows and wear elastic top jeans!

Food wise you've got is sorted really, just make sure you have super sized portions!

Maybe some root beer, nachos and some guns on the side table...

Yea, I think root beer and D&B are pretty much the same (I remember root beer tasting like cheap bubble gum)

Root beer is like medicne, discusting. Not sure if its sold in the UK, my sister brought back a 4 litre bottle the other week from the states.

make real burgers my taking a fist sized amount of minced beef and squishing it together and then flattening it out

its easier to do this if you put it in a plastic food bag

then fry on both sides until it just stops being pink in the middle

Root beer tastes exactly like Germoline. Not that I've ate Germoline, but you know what I mean. You can get Root beer in A&W fast food places, there's one in Glasgow, not sure how common they are though.
