Help toshiba portege 7200 info and parts needed

Hello

Was hoping some one could help I have been given a toshiba portege laptop and was looking to instal a new operating system on it but was wary of losing the specific toshiba drivers for the power management and anything else with in the computer computer. I've tried google, with no luck and was wondering if there any other places that I can get the drivers.

Also the computer comes with no drives, cd or disc, but needs a docking station or port replicator. Was wondering if anyone has any either a docking station, port replicator or disk drive around that they want to get rid of.

ACPI drivers etc (power management) are installed by windows so you'll have no bother there.

windows should have most device drivers and the rest should be able to get from tosh's website.

cheers but the tosiba website doesn't have xp drivers just 2000.

will they be alright?

how old is the laptop, theres a good chance xp will allready have the drivers. If it was designed for 2k how much memory is in it?

2000 drivers should be fine but i'd just run it and see what drivers XP installs by itself.
