There was no question we were going to win it, you dozy poms are only just getting the hang of playing proper rugby properly, let alone sevens, LOL.

Wouldnt say that, definately not based on the recent performances we've been having Sad

But yeah, ive been watching 7's for a little while now, its realy good fun seeing it at twickenham, i like the way that its all down to open running, rarely see a "Scrappy" game of 7's.

Thumbs Up

Is that the 7's over for the commonwealth games now? Or what?

True enough.
But who was it thought they would win the first Rugby World Cup ... only to be trampled all over by the All Blacks.

LOL, admittedly I am rather annoyed at the All Blacks' current inability to keep up their reign of supremacy ... but nobody would deny they're a force to be reckoned with, and should never be treated lightly.

What makes me laugh is when people go "Samoa? Who the fuck are Samoa?" and then discover to their horror that most Samoans play for very high-ranking NZ or Aussie teams in real life, and that their training even in the local league is far superior to anything many other nations experience on a national level.

We definitely have something to learn from the southern hemisphere, their approach to sports and facilities are far superior to our own. We have pitiful funding and training to take kids from our poorly constructed education system and give them the chances they need, then we bitch about how shit we are. Rolling Eyes

I'm a gluten for punishment though, I'll sit there with a few beers and watch how we manage to lose to the Irish and get wound up. Funny how I can watch an England soccer match, once in a blue moon, and not really care too much about the outcome as I'm conditioned for us to lose. Whereas I'm expectant of a win when we play in the six nations. To lose to Scotland was dire. Wink

I sat watching the world cup final and the ashes and was desperate to us to stick it to the Aussies, then when it actually happened I really wanted them to be be bad losers. What happens? They were gracious in defeat both times and my pent up nationalism was somewhat deflated.
