check these links
https://www.kawasaki.cz/tourer/zzr1400.pdf

https://homepage.mac.com/kondoh88/Moveis/Menu29.html

it says in the pdf it produces enough torqu at 2k rpm that you can set off in any gear practically,,

liniar torque delivery makes there no power band per se but riders will notice the after burner effect after 6k rpm Smile

I want one

Reminds me of one of them creatures from War of the Worlds! Would like a go but too weighty and bulky for my liking.

Reminds me of the sentinels off the Matrix trilogy. The front has really grown on me, but all big-engined fully faired bikes look pants. The tuned ones in MCN last week were awful. They were Hayabusa-esque blocks of lard.

They look much better than those fat busas. Sick Still lardey though. But the ZX12R, Busa and the ZZR14 are not the prettiest bikes on the market. Thumbs Up

The zx14 runs a 9.17 @153 MPH with a decent ignition system, exhaust pipe and tie down straps on the suspension Laughing

All hail the new straight line king.

which is exactly what my FJR1300 does.. 140bhp, and 150mph is more than enough for the road, and the riding position of the FJR is more comfortable imho

197bhp can't really be used to full effect on the road, but a sports-tourer/hyper sports bike like the blackbird/'busa/zzr14 isn't going to be found on the track, except when ridden by an owner at a trackday.

even so, no doubt it will sell, just so the owners can boast about having the fastest bike Smile

but surely that means u need tonnes of clutch slip? it seems in the videos of the drag that the rider was in 1st gear for ages!!
quality speed though. i think its beautiful
I want one too!

While i completely agree that large capacity, high weight, comfortable tourers are just as quick as sports bikes in most real world conditions (top gear throttle roll ons etc), if i owned a hyper bike, i'dmake a point of using every bhp and mph it had every now and again.

I can't see how anybody who owns a bit like that could not occasionally blast it down an empty stretch of road at 190mph Laughing

the FJR is hardly a "high weight tourer" it's a sports tourer, and only about 20 kilos heavier than the ZZR14.

that could easily be offset with a few pies Wink

granted the ZZR has 50 more bhp tho

Its Lush.

Would compliment the FJr perfectly.
I don't want a lightweight bike, I want something more manly.

Something you have to wrestle round corners.
