funny throttle

my bike is very jerky witht the throttle.

gilera vx runner 125 scooter

when i keep the throttle in 1 position it starts to jump and i have to close off the throttle and reopen it to keep it moving. anyone have any idea what could cause this ?

Stuck throttle cable. It's a very nice autopilot feature if ur down the motorway. But more of then than not guaranteed to make you crash or fail your MOT at best.

I know your on a runner, but find the twistgrip and search for either a push pull type arrangement witht he cables and adjust the locknuts to take out the slack.

You can find the cable and lube it too. Other than that i can't be of any more help. I'd need a Gilera Runner manual then.

What has this to do with his question?

Sounds like fuel starvation, check the breather from the petrol tank is clear and that the fuel filter is clean.

Checked how much fuel you're got left?

Is it "Kangarooing" for want of a better word?

yes kangarooing but it has a full tank of petrol put in last night, and it is the correct fuel and was doing it when tank was quarter full before fill up

Any chance water could've gotten into the tank?

Have you checked the filter, fuel lines and breather as sickpup said?
