Army question!

Basically after 12 weeks basic training how much leave do you recieve and when your doing Phase 2 Trade training, is it like phase 1 no time go see your family etc or is it just like normal, go home at weekends or when your not working shifts???

afaik in irish army at least, your free from friday evening to monday morning, every weekend unless otherwise stated lol

after your basic phase 1, then you might get that weekend off, then probly start on your phase 2 at whatever base you are going to the following week

you might however be required to spend that weekend moving to the new base or whatever

from phase 2 onwards i would imagine you are free to do what you want whenever you arent at work, and your weekends will be your own when you arent on duty

as a trainee you will probly have to take block leave periods when they tell you i.e. summer, christmas, easter, but once you are qualified then you can normally take your 30 days whenever you like
