inside the can?

What on earth does it do?

I have had twin renegades on an sv before and they didn't have these inserts before...would they have an effect on the db output? The previous owner of the bike said she had to get it toned down just a little as it was too loud but quite what was done to the exhausts, she didn't know.

Ideas?

Looks like its been tack welded on inside, probably quite easy to jimmy out if I found out they were indeed put in to quieten them down. Laughing

Looks to me like something designed to drop the db a bit. I could be completely wrong, but if the previous owner said that she had something fitted to drop the noise, I'd be inclined to believe that was something to do with it.

Yeah it could have been that or the packaging (rockwool?) was replaced, as renegade cans have allen key bolts down the bottom so its a 2 minute job to take the whole exhaust apart. Thumbs Up

Don't want to jab them out if they're meant to be there Laughing Thumbs Up

If you do take it out it'll probably just make the cans louder. Looks like a straight through can with that thing blocking it.

Looks like a conical baffle.
