TFT monitors (teckies wanted)

Im basicly after 2 tft monitors, as i have limited desk space, and im greedy.

Now ive found two for £150 on ebay, but it states that there is a minimum of 2 dead pixels and the highest seen is 9 dead pixels.

Do you think its worth it? also what are they exactly, how anoying and what to they look like?

2 dead pixels could be ignored but 9 will just bug you.

i'd tend to think if either of them have that many that they could develop even more.

There are allowed guidelines for dead pixels on TFT monitors similar to this anyway, not sure if it's quite as high as nine though. So you could buy two new monitors from a decent brand name and have a similar thing.

In the add it stated MiNIMUM of 2 .You could end up with the worst of the lots .

An when you get them could really wind you up .An the 3 months guarentee stated is only if it brakes so if your unhappy not much you can do .

Me personaly ide give it miss by them seperatly you can pic up 17 inch tfts for around 100 a piece that work fine.

So for 50 extra 2 decent monitors

You could buy a brand new one and if 2 pixels go you cant return them because it will still be within manufacturers tolerances.

Comes with 3 yrs guarentee you cant really go wrong.Most of the open box items aer OEM .An most prob would come without instructions but it doesn't take a genius to work it out after 15 mins of playing

and BTW for anyone that buys a TFT with dead pixels....dont phone the company and complain it has dead pixels cos they'll tell you to f00k aff.....tell them its DOA and wont turn on

16ms respone time is a little slow these days aswell.

personally i'd spend the money on one tft and get a 3 year warranty aswell. (collect and return)

if they are cheaper for having some dead pixels they may be worht it.

i have a plasma tv that was cheap because it has screen burn and i dont really notice it much

if you are a neatness freak, you might find it very annoying tho

i have 2 dead pixels on my tft and i only notice it when the screen is black as they show up green

personally id prefer to get 1 19" tft for £199 than 2 17" tft for £150 but you might like having 2
