although some of this forum helps with young riders, it also seems to have a negative view when young riders ask about de-ristriction on smaller bikes 50-125

so i would like some help for my son, please could anyone give the name of a scooter forum so he can go chat on there and not be abused by us older folk that only no big bike bit.

he has a jetforce 125 and would like to know how to deristrict it

i ride a zx9-r and cant get him on a geared bike a the mo, some thing to do with his mother i think

Just because some people aren't a fan of smaller bike doesn't mean you should go elsewhere. People will help, I myself have had help with my bike and mines a 50.

Be alright Razz

hi

When I had my scooter I used:

https://forums.preloved.co.uk/fuseaction-forums.listthreads/sec-Motorcycling/category-Mopeds%20and%20Scooters/27e07a7c.html

Hope this helps, by the way it is abit unfair the negative views about young riders on scooters, we all have to start somewhere.

Good luck mate Thumbs Up

IM NOT SAYING NO ONE WILL HELP, ITS JUST WHEN I LET HIM DO A SEARCH ON HERE ALL TOPICS VERED OFF THE SUBJECT AND AND ABUSED THE POSTIE.

OVER TIME I HAVE BEEN ON SEVERAL FORUMS AND AS SOON AS IT HAS HAPPEND TO ME IM OFF, AS I REQUIRE HELP NOT SARCASTIC TWATS, IM SURE YOU HAVE READ A FEW TOPICS YOURSELF AND THOUGHT YOU COULD HELP BUT THE MEMBERS BEFORE YOU HAD LEFT STUPID REMARKS , GONE OFF SUBJECT SO YOU FELT THAT YOU ANSWER WOULD HAVE NO POINT IF YOU POSTED IT AFTER THE TOPIC HAD BEEN ABUSED.

IF ONLY MEDIATORS TOOK A STRONGER VIEW ON THIS, REMEMBER WE WERE ALL YOUNG ONCE AND WANTED TO GO FASTER

Could I make a suggestion to the powers that be? Maybe have a dedicated forum for scooter users? Theres forums for offroad/supermoto so why not one for scooters? (Quickly runs for cover awaiting the shooting war to begin Mr. Green )

Iv never had any problems with other people on the site being negative towards me because i ride a 50, have found most people helpfull. But i do still agree a 50cc forum on bcf would be a good idea Smile

Think you should just take him away from his mum. Go up to the pub, buy him a diet coke and tell him the facts of life.
Stop being lazy and get a geared bike. Then theres no need for him to visit inferior forums where he will learn to Tipe lik a loozer innit.

I think you'll find people are rarely 'abused' for asking questions.

It's usually attitude and bad manners that gets people annoyed and starts some 'flaming'.

The obvious one is people asking about hte derstriction of a CBR125 - a quick search of infact a little thought would show that it can't infact be derestricted as it wasn't restricted in the first place.

As for the Jetforce, I believe it can't be derestricted, but it can have a supercharger added to bump the power up.

If it's the case that the supercharger is already present, then I'm afraid I don't know the details.

They are already supercharged... The 125 compressor one anyways. They are EFI too which in my eyes is asking for trouble. Would hate to think of maintaince costs! Talking of jetforces I tried to catch up with one just now on the way home and its the first time Ive seen one whilst out... Pretty nippy lil things.. Topgear raced one with a some suzuki car and lost. They couldnt keep up with it! Edit.. wasnt Topgear..see here. Im sure the swift couldnt keep up with it though.. I remember watching it.

I also agree on a scooter forum, I wont be keeping mine much longer, but it wouldve helped me back along when I was having problems and Im sure alot of others will benefit from it.

Jetforce EFI derestriction.

Exhaust, variator, remap. Cost about £100 at a shop.

yes i know what you mean, maybe its just because im a young rider and they think everyone should have a bigger bike to talk on here, my dad set this name up for me on a site he used to use as he thought someone could help, but in other topics i have run in to some trouble with other users, (must be older than myself) i rated some of there comments on my topic and they didnt like it, "oh well"
