Hi,

I was talking with my friend about my fairing and he said that it could be repaired. I was thinnking that I needed to buy a new fairing and get it sprayed.

What do you guys think...is it repairable?

Note the scratches along the sides, the hole where the indicator should be and some cracked bits where that shite crash bung is!

Thanks!

'Why you dont fit fairing crash bungs' Smile

Its repairable yes, but it would cost more to have it repaired and resprayed than it would to get a decent second hand one and getting that painted to match.

Almost any fairing can be repaired. Some just need welding with a hot iron if they're cracked and some, like yours, will need a glass fibre bandage and resin over the hole and then be filled with flexible filler and rubbed down to a smooth finish, prime and top coat followed by new decals and a final top coat of clear lacquer. Job done.

I know...they were fitted by a previous owner. Doh!

Really! ahh. Will try and call some places and see what quotes I get and compare it to price of another + respray. At least they i know they are repairable though!
