First off, sorry! I know this gets asked loads but...
I'll be going for my restricted license towards the end of the year and can't decide which bike to get.I want a bike with a fairing and i like the ZXR 400, and my dad seems to think it would be a good first 'big bike' to go for. But i also like the YZF thundercat. My dad told me that the 'cat is alot bigger and heavier, but i'm stronger than him and he's got a VFR800 .
Now i know that ZXR's handle the 33bhp restriction quite well as it's a smallish engine and is cutting the bhp by around 50%, but how does the YZF take the restriction, as it cutting around 95bhp down to 33bhp? I've heard they loose all power at around 6,000rpm. Does that sound right?
Are there any other bikes i should look at? I've considered the other 400's but i think they will be a bit small and cramped as im about 6 ft 1. (am i right in saying that the ZXR is the largest 400?).
Thanks for any help/advise
Forgot to add; i will be using the bike in the week to get about on, but will also use it for weekend blasts and i would like to start doing some travelling on it, such as weekends away. ____________________ CBT - Done | Theory - Passed | Test - 4th Oct [PASSED!]
