My mate gave me a nokia phone and the network is blocked. It cannot make or recieve calls. He found the fone and said i could have it but its no use to me if it doesn't work. Is it possible to get it unblocked? If so, how? Or is the phone scrap? Confused

It's scrap, unless you change the IMEI, illegal and probably impossible on later models.

Also remember that it's locked because it's stolen probably. If you don't want to get buggered for handling stolen goods then ditch it.

Yer, i thought so. Ive got a better phone anyway, just wondered if i could get it working, just to keep as a spare. Cheers

People pay good money for them on eBay. I sold one which my brother had obtained from a dodgy contact to a friend. He knew someone, and they got it unblocked, amazingly. It was a Sharp GX20. The older ones are fairly easy to unblock AFAIK, but the very newest ones are nigh-on impossible.
