it wont turn over at all? as in....you press the start button or kick start and it is jamed? just wont turn the engine over at all?

is that is the case. you have a problem. you put the engine back together wrong.

if it turns over but wont start.

1 check spark
2 check there is fule in the carb bowl
3 if there is fule in the carb bowl but still wont start take out the spark plug and put some petrol down the barrel. then try.
4 check compression. (if it is a 2 stroke then there wont be an awfull lot but there suld be a bit)

alot of people make the mistake of thinking there is a spark if the spark plug produces a spark. this isnt true, make sire you earth the plug and check there is a spark beetween the electrodes

This is what i have doneso far. The engine turns over but does not start, you can hear the compression, have checked for spark but very weak, checked both carb's as it is a 4 stroke, replaced both spark plugs, checked both coils, and cdi units but still only get a weak spark.

Then i emptied the full tank and put new in, checked all wiring all ok fuse ok , so now i am replacing the magneto is case it has anything to do with that. after that i am baffled?

squirted fuel down the plugs, you name it i tried it thats why i thought maybe the magneto needs changeing it looks ok but what else can it be?

Tried some easy start spray in it?

Try bumping it rather than using the starter motor or hook it up to a car battery to make sure it is getting a good swing over.

Try heating up the plugs with a blowlamp.

Is it firing at all? Are the plugs wet after you've been turning it over a lot?

Have you got the plug caps on the right way round? (I've done this, took me two days to find it!)
