most likely will need to replace at least the forks and wheel to get the relevant mounts. Might get away with lower legs, but I'm not sure.
will possibly need new brake lever and reservoir too, to provide enough fluid for 2 calipers.

Probably possible but a hell of a lot of parts to do the job properly which will be difficult to source (think only the very last UK GPZ500s had twin disks so you would be after import parts). I would be tempted to try different pads on the standard system. If you find the brakes too marginal then I think that Spondon make a floating disk conversion.

Yeah, you would need a full front end from an 'E' model.
Fitting braided steel brake lines and HH sintered pads makes the front brake function in an adequate manner. If you don't have braided lines, I recommend you give them a try, the difference is huge and it should cost no more than a full tank of petrol to do. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink.
