Hi all, I've got an 03 R1 which is needing some new tread soon. Blasted my Diablo Corsas and they were great but what would you guys and gals recommend?

If you are happy with the diablo's stick with them all down to personal choice. If you just fancy a change look at the Michelin pilot powers , Bridgestone 014's etc.

A lot of people will give different opinions based on what they use. Read a few test review of each, see if it applies to your bike, maybe add the price differences into the equation, and go from there.

I've recently seen the light by moving from Dunlop - Pirelli.

Thanks for you advice. I had BT010's on my ninja600 and they were sweet. The diablos were fantastic but chewed through a bit quick. You know what I mean!! Would like the same performance, but in an ideal world (which its not) then they would last a long time too!! Thanks again folks!!

Did you have Diablos, or Diablo Corsas? The Corsas are softer and won't last as long, the compromise being better grip. Diablos, slightly less grip (okay for the road) but better durability.

Thanks for that. I'm on diablo corsas but like you say I've compromised durability. Thanks for your comments bro!! I want max grip with decent life.

BRIDGESTONE BT 014 IS A GREAT TYRE IN THE WET AND VERY STICKY IN THE DRY. YOU WILL BE LUCKY TO GET MORE THAN 2000 MILES FROM A REAR THOUGH.

I've heard good things about Bridgestone 014's and i've been using Bridgestones for about 10 years solid now. Thumbs Up

Can you mix and match - a Diablo Corsa on the front with a Diablo on the rear - that way you get the front end grip/confidence (plus a tyre you're used to) with the durability of a standard Diablo on the rear. If they did a Corsa in a 130/70x16, that's what I would have fitted to my Blade.

At the moment, I'm quite happy with my Diablos, albeit a lack of feedback from the front (possibly down to that Blade 16 incher again).

Get the pilot powers dual compound, I posted a thread about it in general section about bulk ordering to get them cheap. Durbility+ grip in the corners. Bonus.
