Dear Auntie Bcf,

Is ther eany reason why I would suddenly become electrostatically charged at home?

I've not changed my shoes or anything recently, but in the past few weeks whenever I touch the taps in our flat I get a shock. It's worse when I touch running water if the tap is already running.

When I touch/kiss my girlfriend we get an electric shock, which is a bit off-putting. Confused

Any ideas?

I usually find I have periods of getting regular static shocks, I'm led to believe things such as humidity can affect you.

Have you recently bought a dehumidifier etc..?

You should really stop touching yourself like that in your car! Shocked

{Puts Professor-like spectacles on and Anne Robinson stare}
The gonads in the nether region must be rubbing against each other, causing friction and thus static electricity is created.
SOLUTION: Wear tighter Jocks Laughing Thumbs Up

You can buy anti static spray in aerosol cans, just give the furniture & carpet a quick spray & you'l be fine
