Go to a breakers or salvage yard.

Its the sort of bike that may have been wrapped round a hedge or lamp post.

Cosmetic right off, but sound mechanically

What kit car you after?

I had a rolling chassie for a Busa (built it bit by bit) and I had to sell it all on as the engine prices were silly (2K-2.5K). Hell you can buy a 1999 Busa (the unrestricted ones) for £3500ish....

Buutttt, I do have a 2000 ZX9R for sale though as a project.... Very Happy Sorry gotta plug it! 12,500 miles on it, apparent 170mph top end.... I'll stop there.

I always wanted a bike powered mini, conversions are around the 1,500-2k mark (not including the engine)

Mk I or II Golf Thumbs Up

Will the benifits of the Busa engine be translated to the weight of a small hatch Thinking

Would be shit!

Power curve is completely wrong for a heavy car, the clutch would die, no reverse blah blah...

Crap idea, soz.

In a Westfield its ok coz there's little weight but in a steel monocoque chassis it wouldn't be good.

Yeah thats what I heard a while back. Blokes (or ladies Wink ) buy a whole bike just for the engine in it. Someone I know had a Busa and wrote it off doing a wheelie. Easily sold it on as theres a big demand for them.

Use two engines then and get an output-reverser Razz.

Ok, it's a bit lighter, but apparantly the Tiger WR will do 1-60 in 2.7 secs; in reverse if you feel like it! Smile

Agree with Johnny, completely useless in a 800kg+ hatchback, a stripped mini is just about on the limit for excess weight. You could throw a £250 2L 16v in there and it would lap a track as fast, if not faster.

The only real benefit of the bike engine is the sequential dog box which would cost £7000 to convert a normal car gearbox to.
