Work holidays

I am trying to get 2 days off work May 15 and 16th but my work will not allow it as someone else is off. In my contract it says 2 weeks notice should be given for anything under a 7 days and a months notice for over a month nothing about if someone else is on holiday you cant take one. Is there any rights i have as an empoyee or do i just have to forget the holiday or find a new job!

Afraid there is no legal thing you can do. If they have stated that notice and you cannot take time off if someone else is off already, they hold all the cards Rolling Eyes

no theres nothing abaout not been able to take holidays if someone else i off thats why i booked the days and thought it would be fine its in 2 weeks time!

I dont care about it as its easy to get another one. But i do know that without me they would struggle!
