I got my bike back today from the garage, as it had to have a new inlet manifold, old one had had a hole in it since I bought it. And since iv got it back it just doesn’t seem to be running as well as it did before. It seems to have lost power as it seems to struggle to pull away in first from standing. It also struggles to develop high revs in 2nd and just gets to a point where the engine just seems to make a sort of blipping sound until you change up. Its tick over rpm is also a lot lower than it was before, almost to the point where is sound like its going to cut out. And its acceleration just seems to generally be slower than it was before. Any one got any idea what the problem could be? Its on a Rieju mrx 50

I wonder if the bike has been set-up to run with the hole there, which would make it run lean and is now running too rich?

What does your sparkplug look like?

It was derestricted with the hole there, so it could have been set up to run with it. I will check the plug tomorrow.

Just had a look at my spark plug, very black. Got a picture of it if it helps. It definatly going to have to go back what ever the problem is, just went for a short ride this morning and it wont develop any high revs and acceleration is terrible through all the gears Sad

That is running a bit rich. I have seen worse though. Maybe worth just trying one grade hotter on the plug?
