Hi guys,

Long time no see (is that good or bad?) but in the year I've had my NSR since it's not been used it's developed a few problems.

The main problem I'm having is gear changing. Not so much the gears themselves but just getting the thing in neutral. Kicking into first isn't a problem at all. I have to turn off the engine and roll back and forth 'till I can find it. The oil's topped up but it's been in there about a year (not that it's really been ridden).

The other problem I have is the rear brake. It works ok, but stays partially on when I take my foot off. I have to manually pull it back up!

So I have to sort these problems out this week since I have my CBT next weekend!

If anyone can point me in the right direction with these probs I'd be eternally grateful!

Cheers,

Joel

Sure you just havnt got a feel for the netural yet? took me a while to get into netural properly on my RS 125, try slippin the clutch a bit and with a bit of throttle, and obviously gently flick it into netural, works for me.

Hi, my ns125 is a pain sometimes to get to neutral, before you go into neutral, kick it down forcifully into 1st, then gently knock it up one, its just a matter of getting used to doing it really.

as said above, if you dont see the neutral light when you think you are in neutral, then slip the clutch, or turn the engine off, then turn ignition on and you should find it ok.

As for the back brake, it def needs some wd40 on the spring or some grease, that should work mate.

All the best,

Baz.

For the neutral problem try adjusting your clutch, otherwise replace it, the brake try some grease. Thumbs Up

To be honest, I didn't have a problem with it a year ago before it was stored, though it did take some gettin used to back then. Kicking it right down first then notching it up was generally the trick Wink

Thanks for the quick replys! Thumbs Up
