JESUS H CHRIST!

I am trying to change the Tacho cable on my CX and it is proving to be an absolute pain in the ass!
I currently have the radiator off, the fan housing, the thermostat, the exhaust, tank and clutch cable (was threaded through the side of the radiator) and I can still not get a screw driver at it!

I would rather not have to get the engine out.

Does anyone know an easy way to get at/undo this screw holding the base of the tacho cable in?

Any help would be mucho appreciated!

Ta

Right-angle screwdrivers have their uses. They are a pain in the arse to use but sometimes the only way.

Remember when derestricting the cbr, there was a screw about a foot and a half away from the only way to get in.

In halfrauds you can buy screwdrivers that long.

Which is nice.

No you cannot just feed another cable through as the end at the engine has a larger do-dad on the end.
When you do get the screw out (which aint a problem with the right tools), change it for a bolt and feed it up from the bottom of the engine not the top.
Been there, done that, not much fun

Well in the end it was a case of getting a sharp punch and carefully tapping the top of the screw round to loosen it. Then it came out.
What an arsehole of a job!
Got a hack saw and "modified" the screw for putting it back. Now a long flat blade will get it everytime!!!

Cheers guys
