I tried to insure the KLE for courier use, it was £1800 just for the bike insurance, then I had to sort goods in transit cover and public liability.
Rough calculations showd me that it would be a fucking huge effort to make it even slightly worthwhile. I now sit around doing nothing for £20k a year. Much more to my taste. ____________________ "THOSE WHO RISK NOTHING, DO NOTHING, ACHIEVE NOTHING, BECOME NOTHING." |

i saw that as well.
he reckon he'd pretty much used up his 9 lives....crashing at the end of the programme didn't help!
i commute every day into london and 2 half hour trips are enough for me thanks.
i get to work and have a nice cup of tea, gaze at the knockers clustered round the photocopier and go for a long dump.
that'll do me thanks ____________________ Ridey, riding a Black '08 CBR600RR |

i only did it for 6 months from last august to feb. just needed a career break. met quite a lot of the experienced guys, they said in the 80s they were taking home 8-900 quid before fuel etc, but nowadays nearer 500. for me on a good week back then, 500 was possible, but average was around 400. there are some companies that were better, but i liked working with the controllers in the company, they were quite friendly.
on average, i would close call once a day.
did it on a cb500 and a gixer 600.
for money wise, probably best to use a 180 scooter and only do london jobs, if you do around 25-30 jobs a day at 3.65 each, its not too bad, plus the petrol would be cheap. |
