I just dug this one out of the back of my garage has been sat up for about 10 years. a lot of its in good nick apart from the frame, it has a hole on the left right hand rail. Ive got the engine out of her so far and going to get the frame striped welded. I dread to think what the forks are like behind the protectors. Sad Any comments welcomed.

Why was it in the garage for 10 years? Forgot about it or gave up riding?

The forks are probably fine. My 550 had also been left to rot for 10 years before I restored it, however it had been sat outside and looked like a total rustbucket that was good for nothing other than scrap.

The fork stanchions were about the only metal on the bike that hadn't rusted, due to the gaitors covering them.
