bought myself a firestorm at the weekend being restricted this week and then picking it up friday! am soooo looking forward to it!

Forgive me if i'm totally wrong but...............

Would it not make more sense to ride a 400 or something until you've done the 2years probation? Or is it a case of getting it restricted for the certificate and then removing the restrictors?

cant say whether or not ill take the restrictors out yet, jus depends really

jus hope the restriction doesnt choke the engine or something
aparently the strom runs richer restricted,
plus its got race cans so itll run even richer plus its a storm so the tank range is crap anyway

could be expensive lol but hey, i dont spend my money on anything else..

Get a bigger rear sprocket on there, that should help lower the gearing and make it livelier while its restricted. If it's an EFI bike, it should have a λ sensor in there to adjust the fuelling. If not, it's only a case of getting it remapped after a few minutes on the dyno (i think).

Fair play, i guess its pretty cool for the pose value if nothing else

I just didn't bother with the whole 33bhp thing. Got my first 125 at 15, thou at 18 and rode without a license until 21 but coppers are pretty thin on the ground up here and the chances of me running someone over was next to none as i never rode in towns. Pretty stupid kid i was and lucky to get away with it too.
