Well, last night i decided to re-jet ready for butchering my exhaust this morning. I eventually got the main jet changed (took me 2 and a half hours to disassemble, and rebuild the bike) and what a bloody nightmare it was. Off with the seat, tank, side pannels, airbox, airbox connecting tube, unbolt the inlet manifold to free the carb, change the jet and then reassemble.

This morning, i had an hour of drilling, hammering, and cursing at the exhaust.

The difference wasn't noticable at first, i expected an increase in torque further down the rev range. Then i hit the powervalve Shocked

It opened, and i seriously did not expect it to be that much of a change so quickly. I had a pretty bad brown trou moment at that point where it just completely took me by suprise. The increase in torque and power so high up the rev range was well worth a total of 3 and a half hours and a £1.20 main jet. It's like riding a bike with twice the power maybe because it is!. I'm seriously going to have to behave myself on this bike Shocked

Now to find a smaller rear sprocket...

Jack

Thumbs Up have fun but keep your licence...make sure you do a plug chop to make sure its running right or you will be looking at a seized engine

I changed the jet, no need for a plug chop Thumbs Up Just use the jet size guide in the owner's manual.
