Seems expensive.

What he's doing there is selling contract phones. You can get them cheaper from places such as www.mobileshop.co.uk

The contract is taken out in your name, so along with the "cheap" phone you get the monthly bill attached with it.

(Unless your under 18 in which case you cannot take a contract phone out)

Before you get the phone you will be expected to sign a contract. Some of those phones have RRP's of £350+, he's not just going to give you a phone for the price he's advertising

The key bit is:

As I've said if your after a new phone contract you can get a lot cheaper else where.

All he is doing (as said above) is selling contract phones, but first off you need to pass the credit check. They'll most likly use your eBay details (on the sales invoice), and fill in the blanks with default values (but this will not work for much longer)... So if you pass (they will change details until you do, killing your credit rating, usually they'll get caught doing this), then your tied into a 12 month contract (unless they put you on a 18 month and not tell you, which happens alot)! And you DON'T have to sign anything! In the small print you are giving a "verbal decloration" which is how mail order phone companies work Shocked

AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE!!!

Oh and cash back deals, line rental free for 10 months etc etc, isn't the network opperator's offers!!! If it sounds too good to be true, it's usually a dealer offer (obviously the networks offer things but usually in 3 month or 6 months deals, see the websites). Dealer's use their MASSIVE commision (for connecting you) to sweeten the deal... But I have known many shops promise to "Buy you out of the contract after 6 months", then shutting up shop and diss-apearing.

And how do I know all this... I work for a mobile phone company (network) connecting people and getting shouted out (usually by people with REAL bad english), asking "why am I no getting my free line rental now" or "I was told YOU buy me out of my contract after 6 months" etc etc!

Oh and most of the dealers are in Bradford or Birmingham for some strange reason...

I ALWAYS reccoment buying DIRECT from a network, as you get better deals (usually) and more legal cover in terms of the contract. But there are legit ones out there... It's just too easy to screw people, I catch em trying it EVERYDAY!!!

Well thats my rant! Thumbs Up
