BSB, Thruxton - Pictures

British Superbikes today at Thruxton.

Can't say it went too well for me. Four hours sleep wasn't the best start, but I made it to the circuit inspite of the appalling lack of sign posts. I immediately headed for the "good" photo points only the find them all five people deep - no chance of getting in! Evil or Very Mad

It was my first time to Thruxton and I can't say I'm too impressed - after all, you can only get round a third of the circuit, and the third that's furthest away has fencing overgrown with plant life, thus ruining the view. Walking from one side of the circuit to the other seemed to take an age. Because you can't walk all the way round, everyone takes exactly the same route... very slowly it seems... then they add a load of stalls of slow people even more! Anyway, things would have been bearable if I hadn't taken the first two hundred pictures with the camera set to "One Shot" instead of "AI Servo". I didn't swear. Much. Okay, rant over... I did get a couple of pictures.

I swear when they advertise for promo girls/brolly dollys I'm sure it says somewhere that you need not be fit.

Just wear skimpy clothing and people will just assume you're fit. In most brolly dolly pics there's a girl who's average at best.

This one in the middle's a stinker!! I wouldn't, personally.

I went on monday and really enjoyed it as it was the first time Ive been to see bike racing in person. I too wasnt that impressed with the track for the same reasons you mentioned, plus the journey from Bristol on my little 4t oil burning 125 was a tad hairy Shocked

Was much fun at the end of the day, also those ducati's are something else Cool

But what a boring race! Especially Race 2. Maybe its the track, but god I nearly fell asleep!!

WSB has seen the best racing so far, then MotoGP, but i'm far from impressed with BSB at the moment.

Ducati's bugger off into the distance and Haslam doesn't even put up a fight for top spot. The best bit was the battle for 3rd & 4th, and they missed Carl Harris's move to 3rd on the last lap.

I'm afraid BSB is now no longer a priorirty on Sundays for me, I'll take in the highlights instead I think.

Even when I went to Brands for the first round, I was not really that impressed. The R6 cup was a better race!
