I have bought a tank cover for my Rebel, yes baglux actually do one!
I need to remove the seats so I can get to the bolt holding the tank
to the frame. I need to remove bolt so I can get put the strap under
the tank.

I don't know how to remove the seat, I know I have to remove both
of them, help please.

ALSO.... on the rebel

I want to remove that awful plastic mudguard which hangs off the
metal rear mudguard, my problem is the number plate, what can I
make that would hold it without having that awful plastic mudguard.

There should be a bolt on either side of the passenger seat, between the seat and the taillight (older models with taillight above the fender). In either case, there should be attachment points at the rear of said seat. Undo both of these bolts and remove the passenger seat.

The driver seat can now be removed because the bolts holding that on are now exposed. Undo those bolts, and the seat should come right off (pull towards rear of bike).

Regarding the plastic fender piece, if it's molded together, your best bet may be to trim it off. You can cut it off with a small saw, then use a file or dremel tool to smooth everything over.

Hope this will help!

Thank you, very grateful.

Going to put the tank cover on next weekend.

As for cutting the plastic fender, had that idea but I will still have the problem of movement, the whole plastic part is bolted onto the metal part but it has so much movement I'm worried it will once day break. The idea is to remount the number plate on something more secure.
