My bike suffers from this and I bought some of that gear that you add to the fuel which is supposed to help. I've just put it in now so won't know until tomorrow morning if it's going to make a difference. Does anyone have any experience of this type of product, and does it work?

it tends to stop the bike totally being disabled by carb icing, but the bike will still suffer.

My XJ600 divvy was awful for carb icing for some reason.

Which gear exactly did you buy? There's many fuel additives available, some help with carb icing, many don't.

As above, Silkolene Pro FST is the product of choice, and yes it does work, carb icing ceases to be a problem, full stop.
An alternative is Wynns Dry Fuel, which is available in Halfords and which I find to be pretty effective.
I'm not aware of any other products which work well with carb icing, although there may be some out there I don't know about of course!!!
