Not quite sure what bike yet but been looking at the SV650S/Thundercat. Also thought about 400s like the ZXR/VFR - not sure yet!

So far i've only tried 4 counties:
Thundercat - £1000ish
SV - £800ish
ZXR - £600
VFR - £800

Looks like i'll have to spend a day ringing round everywhere!

how the hell do you manage that? phone one up with the lower quote you've got from some other company. get them to go lower, then go to another company?
presuming you've gotta be realistic about it this is :/ can't really make it up.

online i'v been quoted £600 TPO on a cbr400 at 19, 0 no claims, 1 accident.

you can tell white lies when telling them your previous quotes when they ask, tell them its a little lower, also asking them to send it off to there underwriters is a good idea as they can construct you a tailor made quote to suit.

rang round got it to £1000tpft...

was about to give up when I found A quote.
who offered me £850...
I thought about it and rang them back getting a different phone opperator. The new guy (Paul) said he'd beat Mick's quote of £850 and I got a quote of £790.... still not happy I rang Mick's direct number back...


after all of that I'm insured for £764.57 tpft with a years FULL AA cover, everything on it..even get a hotel if I break down
and 60days euro cover
excess is £300.
