Cagiva 125s have dirt cheap insurance, but still go like stink. tf&t on a mito was £380, on an rs125 it was £1069. Go figure. Plus, a mito looks like a ducati Somehow i ended up with a cagiva planet, which looks friggin' mean, goes like stink, handles very well, and has a more upright riding position.
Cagiva have a 125 for every learner, the planet/raptor have an upright riding position, the mito is the 916 wannabe, and the supercity is a hooligan machine.

If I had to make a choice between an RS and an NSR I must admit I'd probably go for the RS. Never really been much of a fan on the NSR to be honest, but then again you'd probably be better with something like a DT/TS. Would cost you a lot less if you dropped it and will put up with a lot more abuse than any sports 125.

The insurers laughed at me for insurance on an RS. Get some quotes, they're far from the cheapest bike to insure.
