Hi Everyone - I'm a fairly new member of BCF but its been really useful site and loads of cool people on here.

I'm going for a test ride on a Suzuki Bandit 600 (2001 model) - I'm wondering if anyone can give me some tips.

What to Ask the seller
What to look for on the bike
What to look for when I'm riding the bike

Anything else!

Any advice would be really appreciated,

Thanks.

How long he/she has owned the bike

Why are they selling it (I just like some of the creative reasons some come up with!)

To give you the paper work (V5 - check engine and frame number, service history etc.)

Ask them for a test ride (they may want a full cash deposit, proof of insurance in return)

Any signs of it being dropped (new paint job, why?)

General wear and tear of the bike (if the clock says 2k but the pegs are worn right down then it may have been clocked)

Look at the consumables, if they need replacing take that into consideration when/if making an offer

Any knocks, rattles etc.

Brakes (test before pulling away as well),

If, at any time, you have second thoughts, walk away.

Good luck! Thumbs Up
