Anyone know what size tyres a 1998 onwards CG125 runs?

I want some decent/not too expensive rubber for the summer and I can't make out the numbers stamped on the edges of my current ones. (Some crock of "IRC" OEM shit that has probably been on since 2001)

Someone mentioned something about BT39SS (?) a while back... Are these any good?

Yeah they're good if you can still get them but they've never made them for a CG. Try the Conti city tyre.

Buggeration...

I ride like a fucking nutter half of the time, (When I'm on my own, as much as you can on a CG125 which is a lot with the kind of roads I do!), would these be suitable for peg scrapage?

Conti site says I need 2.75 - 18 front and 3.00 - 17 rear...

I have no idea how to translate this into Width/Profile/Tyre Size a la Blackcircles.com, anyone got a clue?

Hmmm...

Just had a look at my back tyre, can just about make out 90/90/18 - 57P.

The tyres I find when I put that size into blackcircles are all tubeless though... I thought my tyres were tubed? The wheels are spoked if that's a help :S

My Manual says:
Front: 2.75 - 18 42P, Pirelli, City Demon
Rear: 90/90 - 18M/C 57P, Pirelli, City Demon

Whatever that means

For tubed tyres of that sort of size I found dunlop K82s to be pretty good. Look fairly chunky and deep treaded too, in a classic brit bike sort of way.
