right so...i posted b4..and some one told me to go try a new spark plug

on the tank of my bike its says B9ECS only

the plug that was in my bike when i baught it 6 monthes ago..was a B8ES

but i cudnt get hold of a B9ECS ..i tried 3 diferent places including a honda dealership

the only thing i got hold of was a BR9ECS (the one with a resistor)

the honda dude..said it should be alryt in my bike..so i believed him and baught it

my old plug wasnt givin a spark often...but when i tried the new plug it gave me a strong spark immediatly

so i tried it and my bike turned over 1st kick!! i was so pleased after days and days of consistant trying

as it was still cold....anfd im pretty sure my choke doesnt work greatly.......while i was screwin tank back on..the engine dropped below 1k revs and died...i didnt think anything of it

but when i tried to start bike again...it didnt turn over!
i pulled out spark again and it wasnt givin me a spark...i tried old plug..no spark aswell....and then i pulled plastic off my duble sided screwdriver and tried with the metal rod..and it didnt even giv that a spark

what was likely to of hapned.....and how could i fix easily?could it posibly be a fuse?...also if i cant get hold of the B9ECS...should i continue to use B8ES sparkplugs?

I'd whip the tank off again and make sure I hadn't trapped/broken a wire somewhere.

Use only The specified plugs or equivalent as given by the spark plug manufacturer. Try an iridium one. One was the condition of the old plug? The spark plug can tell you a great deal about your engine. If you can get a decent picture or the plug, get it posted up here so someone can decipher the plug.

Fuel tap? If you took the tank oft, maybe you forgot the fuel tap. Not trying to insult your intelligence, but everyone forgets little things.

the spark plug itself shouldn't have caused the problem.

firstly, replacing a grotty old parts with a new ones always has amazing results. especially true of 2 stroke plugs!

the b8 plug is simply 1 grade hotter than the b9 plug, which, in my opinion, is always a good thing if you are using the bike around town.

the resistor bit is just about electrical noise supression. you'll have either a resistive ht lead, a resistive cap or a resisistive plug for this purpose. Wouldn't usually recommend having more than one of these because your spark will start to loose some ooomph, but it shouldn't actually cause a problem or break anything.

finpos.
