Use coolant. Coolant is just another word for water mixed with antifreeze. Never use water on its own.

its fine to use water in the summer, It only becomes a problem if it freezes. That can crack the barrel.

It usualyl has corrosion prevention stuff amoungst other things in I believe.

It has stuff to prevent corrosion in it. You would only use straight water in a race bike where you're not allowed coolant on track, on the road you always use proper coolant.

i used just water once and and it just boils and the preasure gets to much so my pipe burst, i put coolent in and it ran fine and kept the engine nice and cool
