Anyone tryed one?

Borrowed a cheap one, mixed toughts really.. on some parts it worked brilliantly, on plastics/fiberglass (painted bits) it was pants, totaly pointless, even carefull blasting it would dry over and filth would still be there...

On metal parts it worked great, in particlar the wheels and the final drive, it was difficult to see on the black parts, same colour as the dirt and all.. but it got it all off eventually, the slightly iffy paint got flailed off but expected that.. dirt that was blasted off needed wipeing off (normal people with a garden hose could do it that way Thumbs Up )

Took 6 refills to go arround the wheels (parts theres no feckin way could be cleaned normally), the suspension, a faring and some of the frame.. but that its not had a good clean for a couple of months! and its a small kettle sized steam cleaner from woolywoofs..

Just thought anyone looking at one would like to know Wink it would be prefect for a nekid bike i think, just point it at the fiddley parts and it blows all the crud away!

Freekin eck! how did you get it so manky!!!

£5 isn't bad! but i guess compared to a car its a piece of pish...

Would be worth getting them to clean up the underbits of the bike that are hard to get at before dissassembleing things like suspension...

Was impressed for the most part, a higher pressure higher capacity cleaner would do a better job i think, so might invest later (seeing as it'll allways be usefull for whatever bike)

don;t you ever ride? , a normal ride out of 140 miles in Devon in good weather would cake your bike in salt turning my black bike into a grey bike.

My bike was all brown after a 400 mile burn recently

Indeed i do (at least 20miles a day, but usually more in all weather), but the bike gets a very good coating of verious greases and anti rusty things, then it just gets covered in crud, and stays covered till i see fit to clean it off Laughing

Pressures.. i'm not sure tbh, adjustable would be very good as high pressure isn't allways good (arround bearings especially!) i guess it deppends how much you have to spare Razz the capacity thing would be important, it wouldn't be so bad pointing it at one thing for so long, 350ml lasts ages considering.. but it did get to be a bit of a pain (you need to give it a bit of time to cool inbetween)

edit: thinking about it too much more it might be quite a handfull, you have to be carefull useing it so it dosn't go back in your face!
