i recently noticed a ticking/knocking noise coming from my cbr 600 fw, the noise is only very faint but i can feel it more when the bike is stationary thru the handlebars. at tickover id say it ticks frequently about twice a second. when im moving or at higher revs i cant really hear/feel (maybe because of the exhaust Razz)
ive heard people mention that cam chain tensioners tend to go on cbr's, do my symptoms sound like the tensioner is dying ?
also if it is the tensioner, will it do any harm in riding it till i can order a new 1 from honda ?

any ideas greatly welcome...

Sounds like the tensioner.

After all these years Honda still can't make them work, must be a corporate blind spot.

I wouldn't worry about it in the short term, unless it gets very noisy.
