No I think Craig's got the right idea, the colours are iconic. I saw in MCN this week a company has taken a load of 2005 Fireblades and resprayed them the same colour as a 93 model or something. It's a classic!

Tttt, I'll have to get my cotton buds out Wink

Don't worry Method, can't see them when I'm riding, so the nausiating feeling is only caused from thrashing down bumpy backroads....

Then again, I have got this thing occasionally flashing beneath my chinbar Confused

(Wasn't happy with the previous one, so repolished/sprayed it (that Honda motif was pricier than I'd hoped as well))

He mentioned he wants to be able to return it to stock condition for sale, so all cosmetic tarting has to be reversable.

The whole thing'd be absolutely fucked if it slid....

And no matter how seriously injured Craigs would be...he'd still top himself seeing all his work go down the road!

Rear sets look juicy craig, i'm ashamed of myself, mine look totally wank and i just can't get them to chrome up like that Embarassed

Craig had a good laugh at mine too. Laughing

Nah, looked fine Siggi - still got my OEs packed away, didn't look too bad when fitted. Besides, just after buying mine, these appeared on Ebay https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Harris-fully-adjustable-rearsets-Honda-Fireblade_W0QQitemZ8056898284QQcategoryZ10460QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Doh! Doh!

Quacker's right, if I ever had a bit of a spill, the 'sets would be the least of my worries - besides, I think Harris can supply spare parts if need be, so wouldn't have to replace the whole unit.

I've also had to double my efforts with the rest of the polished items on the bike - just don't have the same sheene Embarassed

I like the rear sets, but I have a question

why are the rigid? sotck ones ar ehinged so when you touch them dwon they flick up instead of (pressumably) digging in a spitting you off.

do these just snap then?

wouldn't fancy one of those in my leg, though at least I know it's as clean as surgical steel so I'd be safe.

They are more ridigd giving them more feel and the shape can be different as they don't have to be pushed up by the road surface.

They arnt legal for racing, not sure about on the road.

Yep, rigid to the adjustable base. I'm quite short-legged, so they're set at the highest/furthest back point at the moment and seem fine for me - even better than standard as my thighs follow the hollows in the tank better and they've repositioned my seating position so I'm cantered over the tank slightly.

As mentioned, they're rigid to presumably give better feel - I very much doubt that I'll be touching them down any time soon - looking from the back of the bike, the first thing to touch down would be the exhaust can, followed by the bellypan, then I'd crash, followed by the scraping of the engine covers, then the pegs would probably touch down. They're made of billet alu, so presumably would just snap at the base before causing much serious damage, Harris stock spares for the rearsets, presumably for this eventuality.

As far as I know, they're legal for racing as well. They're legal on the road as they come supplied with the brackets for the rear brake light, I'm opting for a hydraulic pressure switch instead - much tidier.
