Micron end can

Hey guys,

i have a full micron system on my zxr750. I want to remove the baffle so it sounds deeper.

I have taken the end bit off the can which is held on by 3 bolts, i can then see the wadding on the outside and the inner tube with holes in but this is held on by 3 blobs of weld.

I want to know how do i get this wadding out and if i cut the weld should it come out or will it be eld on by a bracket inside the can?

Err...correct me if I'm wrong here but if you remove the wadding, you're affectively removing a lot of the back pressure the can gives and thus it'll be pretty much as loud as no can at all. Which you don't want.

Micron cans aren't very 'accessible' unlike renegade cans where you undo two bolts on the back plate and you can tke all of the innards out for servicing.

Don't go wrecking that can, go buy another, a cheap 2nd hand one and butcher that I say.

I thought that you would take that fibreglass stuff out anyway?

I tried today to get the baffles out but i couldnt cut the welds very good, any recomendations on what to use the cut it?

Im not bothered about butchering this one, ill just get a new one if i completely wreck it lol
