I have 2 disc caddies both have USB and daisy chainable Firewire.

If I connect them via Firewire into seperate ports or via a chain only one drive appears in 'My Computer' yet if I use USB they both show up.

Why?

Sickpup this is a very common bug under xp/2000. I am afraid I have no solution except point out there may be an irq allocation problem Confused

I also had the same problems on some dodgy cradles and now use usb2 + one single FW disk, hope it helps Smile
