i also cannot install the wireless adapter with xp overriding the original install. so how do i remove it from the system? i have tried inserting CD and hoping it comes up with install, but it doesnt, and i have no system restore cds. any way i can do it? or has any1 had the same problem how did you get around it?

Just set the bios to start on cdrom, then put in your xp cd and reboot.
It will then start the xp cd and allow you to format, you can also remove partions and other windows setups from here.

you usually have to press an F key during bootup to get into your bios. most times its F10 or F12. check the manual for your PC/motherboard and it'll tell you.

BTW the @ appearing as " is just your regional settings...change it from US to UK in control panel.

It's very easy to disable the windows wireless tool thing - look on google.

They keyboard setting is also your fault, you've got it set on a US keyboard layout, google to change that too.

It'll take 5 minutes total for you to fix it.

That's a US keyboard setting, not an issue with the operating system. Change your keyboard and regional setting to UK. Rolling Eyes
